The construction of a multi-million pound health and leisure facility in Gateshead is now complete. The new facility is a joint development between the NHS and Gateshead Council providing comprehensive health care and leisure services all under one roof.
The new leisure and primary care centre, which will replace the existing Blaydon pool, is built on the site of the now demolished Blaydon Comprehensive School.
The facility now features facilities such as a six-lane competition pool, (25m), a learner pool (8m x 12.5m) and a large state-of-the-art gym. Also incorporated are multi-purpose rooms and full compliment of outdoor sporting facilities.
B+W were responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the 25-metre pool and learner pool filtration and water treatment plants.
