Barr + Wray are delighted to have recently completed work at the new 2,700sq m luxurious Swinton Park Country Club & Spa extension in North Yorkshire. The £5.5m project at the estate, which has been owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s, was designed by NJSR architecture firm.

B+W were responsible for the design, supply, install and commissioning of the 18m x 7m lap pool, 6.7m x 3.4m hydro pool and the associated water filtration systems. The hydro pool also benefits from many stainless steel attractions, including an air recliner, mini air tub and body massage stations. All of which comprise a number of high pressure massage jets that provide unique benefits, including the cleansing and detoxification of the skin, relieving tired and aching muscles, increasing circulation and relaxing the mind and body.

A Salt Steam Room, allowing the user to inhale the salt which can improve respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, sinus congestion and many more. Along with this we installed an indoor sauna and outdoor Herbal Sauna, both providing the user with potential circulation improvement helping to reduce muscle soreness, improve joint movement and ease arthritis pain. There are also 4 No. Foot Basins within the spa, these have many health benefits such as reducing headaches, treating insomnia and relieving stress.
The multi-million pound development offers a spacious and contemporary environment for guests, reflecting every bit of its 20,000 acre estate and Yorkshire heritage. Swinton Park is hoping its spa will become a centre of excellence for skincare.
