A new flagship facility for Slough, costing £26m, the new Slough Leisure Centre will be located on the site of the old Centre, Farnham Road in Slough.
The work will be undertaken by Slough Urban Renewal (SUR), a partnership between Morgan Sindall Investments and Slough Borough Council.
Expected to open in late 2018 the new centre will have an 8 lane, 25m swimming pool, a learner pool, poolside sauna and steam room, four court sports hall, fitness suite, changing facilities, café and treatment rooms.
B+W are delighted to have secured the contract for the main and learner pool filtration systems, as well as the construction of both pools using Myrtha technology – providing many benefits over traditional concrete pools.
The 15m x 10m learner pool will have a full moveable floor allowing the client to target a variety of users as the pool depth can vary to suit different activities.
