B+W awarded Google KGX1, Kings Cross

B+W are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract for the design, supply and install the Myrtha stainless steel pool at Google’s new Kings Cross headquarters.


The so called ‘landscraper’ is longer than the Shard and will house up to 7,000 Google employees. This luxury office comes complete with a 300m rooftop garden (with 200m running track), massage rooms, games hall for basketball or football and a climbing wall. Our 25m Myrtha pool is on the 9th floor.


Construction on the £1bn, 11-storey building - comprising of more than 1 million square feet - commenced in 2018. The building, designed by Heatherwick Studio and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), features a natural theme with all materials sourced through Google’s healthy materials programme.
