pH correction systems

Many of our clients require to correct their incoming / outgoing water to adjust the pH required for either drinking water purposes or to meet with discharge consent levels.

The use of chemicals to adjust the pH in effluent waters enables the precipitation of particulate which can then be safely gathered in the liquid/solid separation of the system.

The system design usually consists of tank(s), dosing pump, chemicals, Ph meter, and flow meters and is set up to dose at a rate achieving optimum “precipitate” development. This precipitate can then be further captured by the introduction of a flocculant, which will increase the size of the particle, thus enabling quick settlement.

Ph correction can also be used to ensure water leaving site meets with SEPA discharge consent levels.
