PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Hertfordshire Sports Village opened in August 2003 offering some of the best University based sporting facilities in the country. A centre piece of the Sports Village is the 25m eight lane MYRTHA pre-engineered modular swimming pool, installed and commissioned by B+W. The pool is designed and built to National Short Course competition standards and includes two moveable floors, a submersible boom and an Omega timing system. The different configuration of floors and boom provide the University with a very versatile facility, suitable for all swimmers but still meeting the prime requirements of competition swimming.
