Barr + Wray are preparing to attend the Central Asia & Turkey Hotel investment conference which takes place on 6-8 February 2012. Lorne Kennedy our European sales director and Cheryl Hanna our Spa Sales Manager will be representing the company in Istanbul at the Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel.
The team are looking forward to meeting with some of the industries renowned leaders such as Hilton Worldwide, Jumeirah Group & IHG and building new relationships with architects and designers from all over the globe. Istanbul has fast become a popular place of interest and we look forward to learning more about the City and its growing business along with the key contacts involved in its development.

B+W Relocate Offices in Hong Kong

One year from commencing operations in Hong Kong, Barr+Wray have moved to new offices within the prestigious Langham Place Office Tower located in the Mongkok district. This move is in line with ambitious expansion plans within the Asia Pacific region and has therefore allowed the organisation to employ additional staff.
Over year 1, various design / installation projects have been awarded to Barr+Wray in, Hong Kong, China and Bali and Singapore. Our increased capacity allows the company to provide project design details in English and Chinese where required.

B+W Site Engineer Receives Award for London 2012 Work

Joe Revely, Barr+Wray’s Senior Site Engineer has been recognised for his work on the Eton Manor – London Olympics 2012 site and has received an award for Health and Safety.
Olympic Gold medallist Jonathan Edwards visited the site to present awards to those individuals who have ‘gone the extra mile’ and made a positive contribution to the delivery of the project. B+W’s involvement in the project includes the design, supply and commissioning of three 50m pools, water polo pool and synchronised swimming pool.
B+W are also providing the Filtration and Water Treatment Plants for the competition and warm up water polo pools at the Olympic aquatic centre.

Renfrewshire Council's multimillion-pound investment in new community and sports facilities has prioritised Linwood with a new £23 million community sports hub, scheduled to open in spring 2013 and Paisley Lagoon with a refurbishment. B+W have been awarded both contracts which will include the design, supply & commissioning of; UV water filtration and treatment systems for 3 pool areas-a 25mx13m competition-standard swimming pool, 15mx7.5m learner pool and free form leisure pool with beach and water features such as lazy river and flumes, all within the Linwood Sports Hub. Works for the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley will include refurbishment to the water filtration and treatment systems for the wave pool, learner pool and flume pool–updating to UV from Ozone which was installed by B+W over 25 years ago. Both projects will start on site in January 2012 with the aim to open both centres early 2013.
