Barr+Wray are thrilled to have secured the One Blackfriars, London project. The 170-metre high tower with 274 apartments is a magnificent addition to the London skyline. The awe-inspiring sculpture by award winning Ian Simpson Architects, looking down on the River Thames, is ideally located to embrace London’s rich cultural life on the South Bank. With sweeping views of London, seldom ever seen, One Blackfriars has been expertly designed to maximise reflection and light, allowing its residents to enjoy the best that London has to offer.
B+W will work alongside WFC Contractors Ltd to design, supply, install and commission the 20m x 5m stainless steel pool and associated Filtration Water Treatment System. The pool will be built using Myrtha technology and is located in the basement of the tower. Our contract also includes for the supply, install and commissioning of the thermal areas, which consists of, a sauna, steam room, snow cabin, vichy room, experience shower and an ice fountain.
Maintaining the comfort of the residents at One Blackfriars is essential and therefore along with the above residents will also benefit from a fitness suite, private screening room, wine cellar and stunning Executive Lounge on level 32 where a private dining area can be pre-booked.
Scheduled for completion in 2018 this distinctive contract adds to a range of prestigious projects B+W have already been involved in within central London.
