B + W awarded Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London

December 2017
Starting in January 2017, The Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London, has been undergoing a radical facelift that is set to take two years to complete.

Collaborating once again with Joyce Wang, who recently worked on suites at the landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, and Adam Tihany who has previously worked with Heston Blumenthal and Daniel Boulud, this will be the most extensive refurbishment the hotel has undergone in its 115 year history.

In order to solidify the hotel’s position as one of the best hotels in central London the renovation will include all 181 rooms and suites as well as creating two entirely new luxurious penthouse suites.

The Spa will also receive an inspirational and uplifting renovation, along with a light refurbishment to the hotel’s restaurants and bar.

B+W are delighted to have secured the contract for the works within The Spa. We will be responsible for the design, supply, install and commissioning of a Rasul which is complete with a Dornbracht Rain Sky Shower along with Sommerhuber Healing Clay Thrones. We will also install a Dornbracht Sensory Sky Shower within the VIP Suite of The Spa.

The new look at The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has been inspired by the “golden age of travel” – a similar theme to the “golden age of the cruise liner” that inspired Mondrian London’s design.

Work is due to be completed on the second phase of the renovation by Spring 2018
