Elms Bank is a vibrant and forward thinking generic secondary special school based in Bury, Greater Manchester. In order to extend the support and facilities they off to their pupils, which range from a sensory garden, multi-use games area and full sized football pitch, to a Drama studio and Gallery shop, they are now adding a new Hydrotherapy Pool as part of an extension.
B+W are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the design, supply install and commissioning of the new 8m x 5m Hydrotherapy Pool. This is the second pool we have been awarded through Bury Council, with the first being installed at Millwood Primary Special School in 2011. Based on the success and longevity of the pool at Millwood, which was installed using Myrtha technology and is still in fantastic working order, the new pool at Elms Bank is also being constructed using Myrtha technology.
The pool is set be open in January 2019 and will B+W’s 142nd Myrtha pool installation in the UK
