B+W are delighted to be working alongside Metnor Construction on this brand new £20m state-of-the-art Sports Centre in East Hampshire.
The new centre will be run by Everyone Active with the aim of providing local people with a variety of opportunities to be ‘more active, more often’. The centre will offer modernised, updated facilities to cater for a vast array of sports, activities and leisure interests.
Our scope of works will include the new 25m Main Pool and Learner Pool filtration systems, as well as the construction of the pool shells. The Main Pool will benefit from hi-tech touch-pad timers and starting blocks, while the Learner Pool will have a moveable floor allowing the depth to be altered to cater for a wide range of age groups depending on the required purpose of the pool.
Alongside the swimming facilities, the new Alton Sports Centre will also offer a 130 station fitness suite, group cycling studio, 6 court sports hall, two multi-use studios – one of which can be set to 38oC to offer Hot Yoga classes, a climbing wall and 3G football pitches.
